I’m very sorry to have to do this to those of you in need of repairs, customs or conversions, but as of now the repair shop is closed ... temporarily. It has been a need for me for quite some time now but I kept it going for as long as possible. I will be diverting all my time towards the #prototype900 project and I’m guessing that will take up more time than I have to give to repairs, it has been with a heavy heart that I needed to make this decision and again I apologize.
Do not fret too much as I’m sure, before you know it I’ll have the repair shop up and back to taking orders again. I’ve been on the search for a partner with similar technical skills and a similar love for Polaroid’s, MF, LF, 35mm and the likes but to date I’ve been unsuccessful in finding anyone close enough (within local area) willing to take the risk. I do, however, have a few potential candidates and that possibility might happen faster than you know. To stay updated to when the shop will open again please sign up for the newsletter. Also from time to time when I have free space available, I’ll post on both the "Newsletter" and the blog more details. In the meantime, bear with me as I work through the New Year, thank you for your patience,
Chris
Polaroid Conversions
In the meantime, here are a few pictures of past Conversions, styles and updates about possible arising issues. The plan is to put each of these sections to their own page with info concerning each part and custom options.
Pack Film Auto's/Manuals and Lens Conversions
I know many of you are looking for info concerning the adjustments from Polaroid films to Fuji 100c/3000b and the tension issues with the backs. I promise to get it posted on the blog as soon as I have time to get it put together, I Will debunk the snapping pin myth as promised. Stay Tuned.
SX-70's & 600's (Folding and Box Type)
I’ve had a lot of feedback concerning the custom jobs and whether or not I’ll be offering or selling anymore of the skinned and painted versions as well as the refurbished models. Well the scoop is yes and no, the paint booth I had access to is no longer available, and I’m working on finding new space to paint but until then you probably won’t see any for a while, sorry. Fingers crossed for a larger site or for rentable paint booth.
Other Format Projects
Here are a few pictures of other past projects of other formats besides Polaroid, haha. Yes we do more than just Pola’s! We service 35mm, 120’s, LF, 110’s, etc.. And no it’s not just reskinning’s. We refurbish, repair or customize as well as finding solutions to upgrade, convert to usable formats (like pack film conversions, even to 120 format) or even help you with devices to cut your 120 down to 127 or 110 films if needed. "Woodie" projects are fun and beautiful but the processes I use (very fine finish, pro look and durable long lasting results)is fairly labor intensive and haven’t fully decided if we will go ahead on that or not when the shop reopens. Stay tuned for more to come!
